We started the day slow. It was just too windy and wet to do anything outside.
We went to a little shop called Cannon Beach Treasure Co. The owners, Robert and April were delightful. We hit it off. Got a couple of treasures for Susan – her birthday tomorrow.
We headed up to Astoria to got to Fort Stevens State Park looking for the Ship wreck there.
Found it but the wind and rain and deep wet sand made it somewhat less than enjoyable.
So off to Long Beach we went. As soon as we crossed the Washington State line on the bridge from Astoria, the sun came out.
As we headed West on 101 we saw the same mated pair of bald eagles that we saw a couple of days earlier. One flew about 20 feet above our car.
We’re staying at the Boardwalk Cottages. Got the 2 bedroom cottage. It is very comfy and cozy. Great place to be on a cold winter’s day.
