This morning I saw Spot Jr swoop up into a tree across the cove. Spot Jr is a gangly young eagle who does not have his mature coloring yet and is still figuring out how to be an eagle.  I grabbed my long 500mm lens camera and went out on the deck to take a couple of shots.

20150219-LongG-SpotJr-(1)Because of the low morning light, I had to set my shutter speed very slow and this long lens is a manual focus.  All this is OK for shooting Spot Jr sitting still.

But Spot Jr decided to fly straight at me!

The Crows came in to give Spot Jr a little guidance.
