We didn’t get away till about 1:20. Got to the Kingston ferry terminal about 15 minutes before the ferry arrived. Drove on and got a great view of the water. The cormorants were out to send us off.
We had clear skies and smooth water.
We stopped in the Waterfront Antique Mall in Edmonds to see if there might be a treasure or two in the 3pm auction. Not so much. So we headed north on Hwy 5.
We saw a lot of farm land and Mt. Baker but no clear photo ops from the car.
At Mt. Vernon we headed west just as the sun touched the horizon.
Soon we were in Anacortes. We checked into the Marina Inn Hotel. Always a delight. Had dinner at El Jinete Mexican Restaurant. Great albondigas soup.
Got back to the hotel just as the innkeeper put out the homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yummmm!
