While I was taking pictures in the direction of our neighbor’s Madrona, looking across Hood Canal at Port Ludlow…I spotted a young adult eagle, his head was not yet fully white. He’s got a fish:
He made it a point to fly past his mom perched on the staircase, cheering him on.
It looked like he was headed into heavy brush. Not the usual eagle perches along our cove.
How he could navigate through those trees…
I lost him in the branches. As soon as he was out of sight, his mom had to go tell dad.
They were both jammering very loudly. It seemed they were trying to determine who trained their son so poorly, that he didn’t offer them any of his catch.
A new Kill Deer joined the cove and added her two cents. “These family issues, REALLY! Keep that to yourselves.”
